Axis is an independent charity. Our mission is to support and champion artists, by responding to their needs in an ever-changing world.

 We engage with the people in a variety of ways, many of which involve you sharing your personal information with us.

The protection of your privacy is very important. 

This Privacy Policy tells you how Axis colects, manages and uses personal information you provide to us when interacting with our activities, signing up for membership, making contact with us or working with us.

We believe transparency and data subject control are at the core of our relationship with our members, users and collaborators and the foundation for building trust in us as a charity.

In this Privacy Policy when we refer to ‘Axis, ‘We’, ‘Us’ or ‘Our’ we are referring to Axis Web.

What Personal data we collect

For example, administering and delivery of membership services, using our websites, working with us, making a donation contacting us, signing up for newsletters, purchasing something from us, sharing your content, engaging in the community with other members / users, registering for an event, or otherwise provide us with personal data that may be used by us to deliver our charitable services, enable us to provide a service to you or enhance your experience with us.

We collect and process various types of personal information about you for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • Contact Information. Such as your name, phone number, email address, home address, employment details, education background) that you provide when you become a member, apply to / and work with us, enter a competition or award, use our services or correspond with us via our website, including if you subscribe to our newsletter
  • Account and log-in information. This you choose to put in your Account profile such as username, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Payment and transaction information, such as your credit/debit card, payment authentication code, billing address, and other information such as date and time of your transaction.
  • Information about your activity on the Website, App, or Services, such as your profile, content, media, statements, articles, artworks, posts, comments on any blog posts or information about any products and services you have purchased.
  • Chat, comments and opinions. When you contact us directly or provide feedback e.g., by completing a questionnaire, sendus an email or phone we will record your comments and opinions.
  • Information received from third party social networks, such as Instagram and Facebook. If you interact with us  through a social network or link your Axis account with certain social networks such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, we may receive information from the social network such as your name, age, photos, email address, phone number, location, workplace, friends list, and any other information you permit the social network to share with third parties. The data we receive is dependent on your privacy settings with the social network.
  • Your preferences, such as preferences set for notifications, marketing communications and the active functionalities on the Website, App, or Services.
  • CV and any other application details when applying for an opportunity or job with Axis.
  • Personal information that may be contained in communications you send to us, for example to report a problem or to submit queries, concerns, comments or complaints
  • Sensitive Personal Data. Occasionally we may ask for additional information, including some special category data such as age or ethnicity data. It is not mandatory that you give this information. If you do decide to voluntarily share sensitive information with us, you will be considered to have explicitly consented to us processing that sensitive personal information under Article 9(2)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
