I am interested in traces of human interventions with landscape, our imaginary places and landscapes. The idea of taking steps and negotiating obstacles. I try to find traces of these negociations in the environment and in our mindset.  I am currently working as a studio member At Rochester Square in London continuing exploration of ceramic processes. I work, with traditional ceramic- and building and materials like adobe, sand and plaster, slate, wood and metal. I like to investigate the behavior and compatibilities of the different materials, some left to dry, some fired, some cast some build. Shrinkage, cracking and changes in structure and surface imply reflections on the tension, fragmentation and fragility of our relation to our environment.

Artist Statement

I like to work with clear and archetypical forms in my sculptures, prints and drawings. Imperfections, fragmentation and deficiencies evoke ambiguous feelings of sturdiness and vulnerability at the same time. I observe the actions, what do we actually do when taking , shifting, changing forms and materials.

I love to immerse myself hands on in the process of creative practise to initiate and follow a conscious but nonverbal dialogue with material, space, movement and tactile interventions.
