Artist Statement
Concepts
I have been producing ceramic artworks since 1997. The theme that binds all the work together is the body. This has allowed me to investigate and expand my own practice because the subject can be interpreted in many directions. Although the work has a specific theme, it is important for me to not only explore the female form, but also draw comparisons to the natural world, to find feminine shape, forms, colours and textures..

Peter Simpson, Hans Coper, Magdalene Odundo, Mo Jupp, Barbara Hepworth, tribal arts.
