Artist Statement
Spiritual, moral and political issues are addressed - they do not exist in isolation. Nor can the third function effectively without a grounding in the first two. Layers are created and destroyed, in the pursuit of truth. Different types of paper are used, linking to the archetypal, Book of Deeds; giving tension and texture. Other materials are used as they are, intuitively, deemed appropriate. A composite element is often present: highlighting the unity underlying apparent isolation.
