Tate Liverpool Artist Award 2020
‘On behalf of Tate Liverpool I am delighted to give the MA Tate award to Rupi Dhillon. I congratulate Rupi on a body of work that is multi disciplinary, underpinned by powerful social and political concerns and completely engaging. From drawing to film to performance, Rupi demonstrates that she is skilled at using the appropriate art form to explore both personal and political narratives. In 'The Anthropology of the Self' Rupi brings these together in an ingenuous way that is extremely poignant at this time. The Tate award offers BCU artists with portfolio discussions with a member of Tate Liverpool's curatorial team and we will be in touch soon.'
