The deep sea diver
2013 - 2014The sculpture refers to the friendship between Salvador Dali and Faringdon’s Lord Berners. The quote ‘ Mistrust a man who never has an occasional flash of silliness’ is from the famously eccentric Berners, a diving suit was also hired by him for Dali to wear at the first Surrealist exhibition in London. These additions transform a utilitarian seat into a work that can surprise and intrigue. The Work was commissioned by Faringdon Town Council.
